York Design Awards 2020

On Thursday 6th February, at an event that will be attended by more than 150 professionals, Annalie Richer, a Stirling Prize winning architect, is launching the search for York’s best buildings 2020. This is the 14th annual York Design Awards, which aims to celebrate and acknowledge the very best building design and architecture in York!

Due to the relaunch of these awards, we would like to remember that The Chocolate Works Care Village won the “People’s Choice” Award at the York Design Awards 2018, which was sponsored by The York Press. Unlike the awards in other categories, this award was voted for by the people of York and therefore it has so much more meaning. The vision of turning a dilapidated but iconic building into an outstanding care village which supports the elderly and vulnerable in our community, as well as providing jobs, clearly inspired people to vote for the Chocolate Works.

The Chocolate Works is an award winning residential, nursing and dementia care community, delivering first class care in the award winning building!
