Training2Care’s Virtual Dementia Bus to visit Springfield Homes

Springfield Healthcare have booked for the Training2Care’s virtual dementia tour to visit some of our homes in the upcoming months. This tour is a dementia training program that simulates the experience of dementia for our staff, allows our care teams to enter their world and provide important information about what life is like living with dementia.

It’s available in the UK through mobile simulators or in-house training rooms. This scientifically proven method helps caregivers and others understand the challenges faced by dementia residents and make positive changes in their care.

The programme was developed in the US and has been adopted by many organisations in the UK, including healthcare providers, law enforcement, and families. Research shows it improves care practices and outcomes for people with dementia.

If you work with or care for someone with dementia, the Virtual Dementia Tour can provide valuable insights and help you improve their quality of life.

Their virtual dementia tour will be visiting Springfield Healthcare homes over the next couple of months:

  • Harcourt Gardens: 23rd April
  • Seacroft Grange: 20th May
  • Seacroft Green: 20th May
