Springfield Healthcare ‘wear it green’

At some point in our lives, we all may struggle with our mental health. Supporting one another, as well as charities, like The Mental Health Foundation, will help make sure that valuable services can continue to support people. On Thursday 18th May, Springfield Healthcare homes participated in Mental Health Foundation’s “Wear it Green Day” with staff being encouraged to wear green.
At Mayfield View, the kitchen team baked some deliciously ‘green’ cupcakes and a cake for visitors at The Teapot Cafe, whilst also raising money for Mental Health Foundation’s.
At Chocolate Works, staff and residents were invited to the in-home pub for drinks, cakes and a chat! Shannon Bingham, HR Advisor, has said that this day was a huge success, so much so they are going to organise monthly catch ups!
It is important to check in on friends and family to make sure that they are doing well. We also encourage anyone to always reach out and speak to someone if you are struggling with your own mental health!
