Springfield are wearing it PINK
23rd October acknowledges Breast Cancer Awareness Day and Springfield Healthcare are encouraging and reminding staff to regularly check their breasts. Almost one million women in the UK have missed vital breast screening appointments due to the coronavirus outbreak and Breast Cancer Now are urging “women who notice any new or unusual changes in their breasts to get in touch with their GP.”
Springfield Healthcare homes are acknowledging this important day in various ways, but everyone has come together to wear pink aprons in support of Breast Cancer Awareness day. The powerful message that we are sharing and the donations that have been made all make a huge difference in the fight against breast cancer.
Large tubes of pink smarties were distributed to all staff at Seacroft Grange whilst staff at Mayfield View wore fancy pink socks to raise money for Breast Cancer UK’s Wear It Pink campaign. Springfield have also asked for donations for Wear It Pink in order to the contribute to important and life-saving research that Breast Cancer UK do everyday.
