Mad Hatter’s Tea Party
On Friday 10th June Mayfield View opened its doors to welcome the Ilkley community to a “Mad Hatter’s Tea Party”! There were cakes and more cakes! A fun residents baking session took place along with much laughter and drinking of tea surrounded by themed decorations and topped off with a “design-a-cake” competition judged by Stray FM’s Nick Hancock who said “Wow! I can’t actually believe this is a care home!” Impressed by the number and quality of entries Nick eventually chose a winner from the Ben Ryhdding Primary School entries.
Home Manager Suzanne McPadden, who recently relocated to the area to take up the role said “Today was a real joy, to share events like these with the community for the benefit of our residents, their families and local people is my absolute passion. I’m so grateful to have such a fantastic team of caring people here who truly want to make a difference.”
