Jubilee Celebrations and a Surprise Guest
Seacroft Grange residents had a jam packed schedule over the bank holiday weekend, with a variety of activities to celebrate the Queens Jubilee. Our hospitality team made a delicious spread of homemade buns, canapes, sweets and biscuits which went down an absolute treat with residents. There was plenty of cakes, balloons, dancing and of course lots and lots of bunting.
We even had a nice surprise visit from AlTreka who brought their lovely alpacas to visit our residents who were really fascinated by these gentle-natured animals. They loved the opportunity to get up close with them and stroke their fur, which residents found to be surprisingly soft.
Wellbeing Team Leader, Linda Shaw, said “It was a truly special day for our residents who enjoyed the Jubilee celebrations that we organised. It was wonderful to join the local community on the Green and to spend time visiting all the stalls, listening to the music and enjoying the entertainment on offer. Residents also loved spending time with the local children, watching them play and having a lovely afternoon.”
