International Women’s Day 2024

Every year on March 8th, we celebrate International Women’s Day! This year, it’s important for us to look at the amazing work that women are doing in the social care sector. There are so many amazing women working in the social care sector and so many colleagues who act as allies in creating gender equality. We thank all the incredible women who work at Springfield Healthcare and in the social care sector.

This year’s International Women’s Day theme is #InspireInclusion. This theme asks the world to call out instances of bias against women in the workplace, at school and at home.

Building a Better World Through Inclusion:

  • When we encourage others to see the importance of including women, we build a better world for everyone. And when women themselves feel included, they experience a sense of belonging, purpose, and strength.

The Power of Collective Action:

  • The theme of International Women’s Day 2024, #InspireInclusion, which calls upon us to work together to create a more inclusive world for women. We can all contribute by challenging stereotypes, speaking out against discrimination, highlighting unconscious bias and actively seeking inclusion. Remember, significant change often begins with collective action, whether through grassroots efforts or large-scale movements. We can all be a part of #InspireInclusion.

The Importance of Allies:

  • Achieving gender equality cannot be done solely by women alone. Allies play a crucial role in supporting the social, economic, cultural, and political advancement of women. So let’s show our solidarity by joining the #InspireInclusion movement. True inclusion comes from genuine care and understanding.

Let’s take action together to #InspireInclusion for women and girls everywhere.
