International Nurses Day Celebrations

International Nurses Day acknowledges the outstanding efforts of nurses globally. It is marked on the 12th of May every year, the anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale.

Springfield Healthcare’s Nurses were delighted to receive some delicious Brownies from local, York independent Cropton Bakehouse. They tucked into a selection of flavoured treats including:

  • Triple Chocolate Brownies
  • Chocolate Orange Brownies
  • Galaxy Caramel Brownies
  • Jammie Dodger Brownies
  • Salted Caramel Fudge Blondies &
  • Biscoff Blondies

Head of Kindness, Care and Quality, Angela Randle, herself a nurse, said “the work our nurses do across our homes is so important, especially to the residents that they care for. It matters that we take time to pause and thank them and their colleagues across the world for their contribution to the wellbeing of all of us.”
