Christmas at Seacroft Green
Christmas is truly upon us and residents at Seacroft Green have been getting into the Christmas spirit with a busy activities programme. From Christmas jumper day to Santas workshop and our Christmas party, we’ve organised a host of fun activities to keep each day full of festivities.
Cats Pyjamas Production
We welcomed Cats Pyjamas Production who visited for a theatre performance, full of music and songs that allowed residents to participate. This one-woman show visited Seacroft Green on 6th December for a Christmas performance on all communities.
Christmas Jumper Day
Residents and staff supported Save the Children by sporting their very best Christmas jumpers on 8th December and raising money for this important charity that helps children have the future they deserve.
Santa’s Workshop
Residents visited our workshop for help to wrap their presents and organise their Christmas cards. This was a wonderful activity that brought back many happy memories for our residents.
Christmas Carols
On 19th December, Hilary (from St James church in Seacroft) visited Seacroft Green for a Christmas carols by candlelight evening. We’re excited to sing along to our favourite carols.
Christmas Party with Miss Marina
Miss Marina will be delighting us with a selection of Christmas songs as we celebrate Christmas across the home. Our activities team have organised a fun filled day with a variety of exciting activities and a delicious buffet.
Hanukkah
To celebrate Hanukkah, Rabbi Sufrin will be visiting our Jewish residents on December 21st.
Christmas Parties
Each community will have their own Christmas party. A member of our wellbeing team will be on each community, playing part games, enjoying karaoke and tucking into some delicious treats, of course.
Community Christmas Decoration Competition
Our care teams will be going head to head in a Christmas decoration competition. Our teams will be decorating their communities and Christmas trees in the lead up to Christmas. Home Manager, Adelina, and Deputy Home Manager, Jennie will be selecting the winners, which will be announced on our Facebook page on 16th December.
Gingerbread Competition
Home Manager, Adelina, has set a gingerbread competition between departments. Our Housekeeping, Wellbeing and Hospitality teams will be taking on this challenge with the hope of winning first prize!
As you can see, we have so much going on over the festive period, to make sure residents have a very special time.
Season’s greetings and a happy new year to you all!
