Chocolate Works’ residents celebrate the coronation

Residents across Springfield Healthcare’s homes enjoyed celebrating King Charles’ Coronation on May 6th 2023. Our wellbeing and activities teams have been busy planning our coronation celebrations and decorating our homes for the occasion. At Chocolate Works Care Village, our activities teams transformed the bustling atrium for the occasion. Residents were thrilled when they saw their community decorated and were so excited to start the days festivities.

At Chocolate Works, they hosted an afternoon tea in the atrium for residents and their families, with live entertainment and plenty of activities for residents to get involved with. We also welcomed Pony “Prince Louis” for a Coronation themed visit. Residents absolutely loved their visit from the royal, who toured the home to make sure he visited all residents.

Emma, Wellbeing Co-Ordinator at Chocolate Works, said, “I am so proud of my wellbeing team for pulling out all the stops, it was a busy but memorable day! Thank you also to our kitchen team who created a delicious spread for residents and staff for dressing up.”
