A Busy Week of Activities at Seacroft Green
This week, at Seacroft Green, our residents have enjoyed a range of different activities from celebrating Chinese New Year, exercise classes and music therapy sessions! We tailor our activities programmes to each individual to ensure that everyone is able to participate. Our person-centred care plans allow us to do this and to engage and encourage each resident.
To celebrate Chinese New Year, we decorated bunting and lanterns to display on our communities for the celebrations on February 1st. Residents had a lovely day, with lots of delicious treats and fortune cookies to enjoy!
For Burns Night, we danced to bagpipes and participated in arts and crafts. Residents were delighted by the fancy dress from our wonderful activities and wellbeing teams.
Our activities and wellbeing team have been visiting our residents in their rooms, surprising them with a nail pamper session. Residents were truly pampered and it was lovely to see their big smiles.
Our residents also participated in our ‘lets make music’ sessions whereby residents played musical instruments along to their favourite tunes. This activity always brings the biggest smiles to our residents faces.
We recently received some letters from students at Garforth Academy Leeds and our residents have absolutely loved reading their messages. Today, we delivered our replies, along with a sweet treat as a big thank you to the students.
