Receptionist
BECOME PART OF OUR FAMILY
RECEPTIONIST
At Springfield Healthcare, we like to think of ourselves as one big family. From the residents we care for to every member of our team, our social care heroes. We've been providing exceptional care in beautiful residential settings for over 50 years - and with a growing portfolio of care homes and care villages, we're looking for an outstanding Receptionist to join us.
About the Role
Reporting in to the Reception Team Lead, our receptionists are the friendly and professional face of our Home. By helping us deliver the highest standards, you'll enhance every day for our residents and create a warm welcome for our visitors. And like us, you'll always want to do the best you can and constantly look for ways to improve. You will: • Greet visitors and direct them to the correct location, maintaining security protocols at all times • Provide efficient and professional telephone service, transferring calls as per the guidelines • Check the diary daily, ensuring the management are aware of hospital appointments, meetings or messages that involve them • Provide initial information and answer first line enquiries from potential residents, CQC, Local Authority and other internal/external bodies • Schedule appointments and meetings, maintain the appointment diary and maintenance book • Update the diary with respite dates for residents and inform the correct community • Receive and arrange professional, efficient and safe distribution of deliveries from the pharmacy • Create new admission files, and archive relevant files • Receive, sort and distribute incoming post
About You
You have a meticulous attention to detail and a drive to provide consistently excellent quality - from the welcome you extend to visitors to your organisation skills. You're friendly, approachable and you're great at communicating with residents, professional bodies, colleagues and visitors. You work on your own initiative to manage problems and have the confidence to challenge and raise issues. You're fastidious when it comes to updating paperwork - in terms of resident and staff records. You're a team player, who's outstanding in your own field with bucket loads of respect for your colleagues.
About Us
Our homes provide exceptional, kind and compassionate care in beautiful surroundings, in the heart of communities. We offer an impressive choice of care services for a wide range of age groups, with modern nursing, residential and dementia care and support, as well as respite breaks within the majority of our homes. All our bedrooms are en-suite and tastefully decorated. Our dining rooms and restaurants serve delicious and nutritionally balanced, award winning meals. Our activities programmes are exceptional and tailored to our residents from walking clubs, to round the world themed days, technology based fun or baking. We also use the sparkles scheme to ensure even the most unusual hobbies can be supported. The skills and experience of our team members means that we can offer homes that are beautiful to live in, operated professionally, and provide very high standards of care. Springfield Healthcare Group was founded by our CEO, Graeme Lee. Graeme grew up in our Garforth Care Home, which was owned and run by his parents. Since taking the reins in 1994 the company has grown substantially and always with our residents at the heart of every decision.
